Most people think that the Amazon rainforest is a vast green jungle filled with danger, giant creeping bugs, and ferocious wild animals. It's not. Not only is the Amazon jungle the most biodiverse forest on the planet but it might also be the most misunderstood.
This book answers most the commonly asked questions about the Amazon along with some not so common questions.
I also included all of my favorite photos of amazon jungle wildlife I took during the years that I have worked in the Amazon as well as some of the stories behind them. I also included some of the most commonly asked questions that I get about being a wildlife photographer.
Although I had a few questions of my own about the Amazon, we sent out requests for questions about the Amazon jungle to see what sort of information other people wanted to learn about this vast rainforest. The majority of the questions and inquiries answered in this book come from the questions that were sent to us. Some of them reflect current issues affecting the Amazon, others are related to the history of this rainforest, and others give answers that range from the expected to the surprising.
